X-RAY DIAMOND RECOVERY MACHINE
FLOW SORT X-ray diamond recovery machines are specifically designed to sort WET or DRY diamondiferous material under virtually any conditions.
These sorters are suitable for “fixed” as well as “mobile” installations, be it on land or on diamond-mining vessels at sea or on barges at lakes and rivers.

X-ray diamond recovery machine model XR 2/50 DW OX is the rebirth of our ORIGINAL XR 2/19 DW Flow Sort X-ray Diamond Recovery machine LAUNCHED IN 1993.After over 25 years of upgrading and enhancing the original, very successful, XR 2/19DW sorter design we added many new features to our sorters. This insured staying ahead of what competitive products had to offer, but also pushed the price tag of these machines higher and higher.
Features such as AUTOMATIC TRACER DISPENSER, AUTOMATIC TRACER RECOVERY UNIT,
AUTOMATIC CALIBRATION SYSTEM, AUTOMATIC FEEDRATE CONTROL, were mainly designed for large diamond mining organisations, aimed to fit into fully automatic “hands off” recovery plants.
To keep costs down we left off some of these features from our XR2/50DW“OX” version whilst performance enhancing upgrades that improve recovery efficiency such as SCANNING OPTICS and LOW NOISE X-RAY GENERATORS have been included in our OX.
The original “hard wired” control panels, utilising electronic components of the 1990’s have been upgraded with state of the art Programmable Logic Control (PLC) components .
The robustness, reliability and low operating and maintenance cost of the OX version remains the same as the original 1993 sorter version. The first 4 FLOW SORT machines (SN 001, 002, 003 and 004) built and commissioned in 1993 are still in operation!

FEED MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS:
FEED MATERIAL CAN BE WET OR DRY. IMPORTANT IS THAT THE MATERIAL IS “CLEAN” i.e. FREE OF CLAY, SLIME, VEGETATION OR OTHER FOREIGN OBJECTS.
FEED MATERIAL MUST BE PRESENTED IN APPROPRIATE SIZE RANGES AND FREE OF UNDERSIZED AS WELL AS OVERSIZED MATERIAL
Minimum SIZE: There is no minimum size limit! (typical 2mm)
Maximum SIZE: Recommended max is 42mm.
(No particle dimension may exceed 50 mm)
PARTICLE SIZE RATIO: For maximum recovery efficiency we recommend a size ratio of 2:1 for material below 4mm and up to 3:1 for material above 4mm.
